West Park

The community of West Park has been around for quite some time in Red Deer with a population of more than 5,000 residents. It is among the most rapidly expanding neighbourhoods in the city. 

West Park - Parks

What we find that is really appealing for West Park for people is that they want a new area. They want a beautiful part of town where there are beautiful homes and there were architectural controls in that area. 

West Park- Types of Homes

You'll notice all the homes are quite charming. The other part is that though it is on the south side of the city, it's not as busy as the areas on the southeast because of the schools and the Collicutt Center which brings more traffic to the south areas.

There’s a 3-acres community garden which gives the locals engagement in planting and harvesting. It is home to several historical buildings. At the heart of West Park is one of the oldest shopping centres – the West Park Plaza, the historical military residence used during WWI, and the West Park Elementary which is one of the oldest in Red Deer’s history.

Other than the recreation areas and amenities, there are community events at West Park Activity Centre also known as the Skate Shack, to keep families close. West Park is a little bit quieter area and it also has excellent access out to the Highways. People who are working out of town really like this neighbourhood.
