Evergreen

Red Deer's Evergreen is one of its newest neighbourhoods. Some people really like those newer neighbourhoods with new construction because of the benefits of being new such as applied modern technology and energy-saving features.

This is quite a unique neighbourhood. If you want to talk about being secluded and being on the outskirts of the city, you can't get any more secluded than Evergreen. It's in the very northeast corner of the city and there's probably about a kilometre between the actual city and Evergreen itself. 

Evergreen - Parks

So really secluded and it's also a really small neighbourhood. People who are really going to enjoy living in this neighbourhood are the ones who really like that sense of community and really want to get to know their neighbours.

The oldest homes you're going to find in Evergreen are from 2018 and obviously, there still is a lot of new construction going on right now so you are going to pay a little more of a premium for real estate in this area because they are newer homes. 

Evergreen - Types of Homes

The median home prices so far in 2021 we're sitting at $517,000, that's only with five home sales in the area. In 2020, the median price in Evergreen was $460,000. So far, prices are ranging from about $270,000 up to $700,000. 

There are a lot of two stories and bi-levels in Evergreen with some row townhouses mixed in as well. There are a ton of show homes in the area still so, if you are thinking of moving to Evergreen, it is definitely a good idea to stop in and check them out.

Evergreen - Centrum Arena

Now some of the cons of this neighbourhood are also what you get in the newer neighbourhoods – you are going to get smaller lots. There still is a lot of construction going on so if you do move there, you are going to have to contend with that for a little while. 

There are some undeveloped lots, you may have to contend with a little more dirt blowing around compared to what you would have to in a more developed neighbourhood.

Evergreen - Schools

As far as amenities go, there's none in the immediate neighbourhood but you're very close to Timberstone and Clearview, which have a massive amount of shopping and amenities. And just south of the neighbourhood.

There are some outdoor pickleball courts and if you've never played pickleball before, we suggest you get a membership and give it a go. It's super fun.
