Some of the things that make Lancaster a great option to raise a family is it has a lot of schools right in the neighbourhood. There are actually four schools, there's Mattie McCullough for the elementary public-school division, Saint Francis of Assisi for the middle school and the catholic side.

There's also the Ecole Secondaire Notre Dame High School for the catholic school division, and just next to that is Hunting Hills High School, which is the public high school.

Inglewood - Parks

In between both of those high schools, is the Collicutt Center which is an awesome recreational facility. It has an indoor pool, waterslides, running tracks, a gym, and a field house to play all different types of sports.

And if you are just looking for a break like you need to go have a coffee or maybe you want to get a workout within the facility, they do have drop-in care or childminding for your young children. It is a great option for those stay-at-home parents or those moms who are on maternity leave, who just need to get out and get their workouts.

Just across the field, by the Red Deer Emergency Services Station, there is a bunch of shopping and amenities. There is an awesome gym in there called Functional 45 or F45. It is the perfect place if you really like a full-body workout, a mix of circuit and HIIT style workouts and team training sessions. 

Lancaster is one of the affordable neighbourhoods in Red Deer. The median detached home price is about $365,000. There is a wide variety of different types of homes. From apartment-style, condos to townhomes, to single-family homes.

Inglewood - Centrum Areas

And the most immediate shopping for this neighbourhood is going to be the East Hill Shopping Center, where you can find a bunch of different things. In there, you’ll find McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Save-on-Foods – grocery, shopping, there is also a really good restaurant plus a few other shops and amenities there.
