Ironstone

This neighbourhood is located almost in the very southeast corner of the city. You're away from all the busy stuff like downtown, Gaetz Avenue, and Taylor Drive.

It does have a decent amount of shopping and amenities over in this corner of the city. There's the East Hills Shopping Centre. It got some restaurants, the Superstore, and medical clinics. 

Ironstone - Parks

Nearby is the Collicut Recreational Center, which is one of the original and largest recreational centers in Red Deer. It has a fantastic indoor track field, skating rinks, gyms – whatever you need. 

There are also some pretty decent walking trails around this neighbourhood. There are some really nice paved walking trails, but one of the things that we love the most about this area is just such a young area with a lot of young kids. 

Ironstone - Types of Homes

When you live here, it is like kids will always knock on your door trying to get the kids in your house to come out and play in the middle of Ironstone Neighbourhood Park. There is a massive green space which is more than enough for the little kids and bigger kids. 

There is another playground that sits right at 45 Ironstone Drive which is closer to 30 Avenue. There are more playgrounds there. 

Ironstone - Golf Course

There are many young families in this neighbourhood with lots of kids. So if you do have a young family, this is a fantastic area. So do you think it is a bit far away to drive to the mall or to go shopping or anything like that? 

It is in fact the southern-most part of the city but Red Deer is a small area. Almost everything is just five to thirty minutes away from your home. And maybe extra five minutes on your trip by foot. 

Ironstone - Centrum Arena

So, you really can’t consider that as a con. And the grocery store in the East Hill Shopping Centre is conveniently located just in the next neighbourhood. There is also a retirement or senior citizen centre within this neighbourhood. 

It has the Symphony Senior Inglewood and the Revera Inglewood. There’s the Sweet Garden for those who have sweet tooth and a nearby pet care center where you can leave your pets if in case you are to travel and will be gone for a couple of weeks or days. This place is amazing.
