What do people like about this neighbourhood? If you're into newer neighbourhoods with the benefits of modern design and technology applied to properties, Garden Heights is among them. 

But the thing that people like the most about this neighbourhood is the convenience. Red deer absolutely is a car-dependent city. 

Garden Heights - Parks

Red Deer has its buses and transit system but if you are looking for the most walkable area (depending on where you work) and most convenient neighbourhood to live in Red Deer, Garden Heights is number one.

If you choose this place, you will have everything near your doorsteps. It is near all the major banks, services and some really good restaurants like Brown Socialhouse. There are gyms, the Orangetheory and just across the street is Motion Fitness.

If you're into the nightlife Canadian Brew House is also near this neighbourhood. There are pet stores, grocery stores and gas stations – so there is everything.

Just a few minutes down the hill on 67th Street. Just right there is the Gaetz Lakes Bird Sanctuary and Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Just to the north is McKenzie Trails and you have access to the Red Deer River and all the trails that run along that as well.

It is kind of tucked away up in the most northeast corner section of Red Deer. With its location, you're away from downtown so you're also away from the business of downtown and all the busyness. It really is good and a quiet location.

And during rush hour times like before and after work, Garden Heights doesn't have bad traffic. Actually, sometimes you can get a little bit congested anywhere in Red Deer but really, the traffic is nothing.
